What does the platform fee cover?
For Federated, it generally includes device hardware, maintenance workflows, software updates, and support services. For Velocity, it generally covers cloud platform operations and maintenance.
How does Velocity storage work?
You get 5GB included with your base plan. Additional storage is $5/GB per month, billed based on your actual usage. You can upgrade your storage tier anytime from your dashboard.
What counts towards my storage?
Uploaded documents (PDFs, Word docs, spreadsheets, etc.) count towards your storage. The AI embeddings and search indexes are included at no extra cost.
Is storage per-user or shared?
Storage is shared across your entire company. Buy 10GB and all your users share that pool — no per-user storage limits. This makes it easy to manage and scale as your knowledge base grows.
How do user seats work?
You purchase seats for your team. Each seat is $29/month and can be assigned to any user. Swap users between seats anytime — great for contractors or rotating staff. Purchase additional seats as your team grows.
What about LLM API costs?
You provide your own API keys for external LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) and pay those providers directly. For Federated, external LLMs are optional since you have local AI included.
Is there a free trial?

Can I switch between Velocity and Federated?
